Alter Zeppelin erhält in Friedrichshafen neue Technik und Hülle     12. September 2011

Friedrichshafen (dapd-bwb). Nach dem zweimonatigen Wiederaufbau eines Zeppelins werden in Friedrichshafen die Einzelteile langsam zu einem Gesamtgerüst zusammengesetzt. Das Luftschiff, das in einer Halle auf dem Messegelände entsteht, nimmt damit wieder konkrete Formen an, wie eine Sprecherin der Deutschen Zeppelin Reederei am Montag in Friedrichshafen sagte. Der Zeppelin NT (Neue Technologie) ist 75 Meter lang, also zwei Meter länger als ein Airbus A 380.

Zurzeit arbeiten 20 Techniker an dem Luftschiff. Im Frühjahr 2012 soll es dann mit neuer Hülle und leistungsstärkerer Technik wieder über dem Bodensee fliegen. Nach dem Wiederaufbau erhält der Zeppelin den Angaben zufolge den Zusatz "R" in seiner Seriennummer - für "Rebuild", also Wiederaufbau. Der ursprüngliche Taufname "Bodensee" soll jedoch bestehen bleiben.

Im März 2004 war der Zeppelin für sieben Millionen Euro nach Japan verkauft worden. Dort startete dieser bis 2010 unter dem Namen "Yokoso! Japan" zu Rundflügen über Tokio. Nachdem die Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik das Gefährt zurückgekauft hatte, wurde es im März 2010 zerlegt und in Containern nach Friedrichshafen gebracht.

A team led by Southwest Research Institute® (SwRI®) successfully demonstrated powered flight of the HiSentinel stratospheric airship at an altitude of 74,000 feet. The development team of Aerostar International, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and SwRI launched the airship on November 8 from Roswell, N.M., for a five-hour technology demonstration flight. The 146-foot-long airship carried a 60-pound equipment pod and propulsion system. Après un voyage par bateau de 22 jours, le Zeppelin NT-07 D-LZFN est arrivé à Cap-Town ( Afrique du Sud ) le 31 Août 2005.

Le déchargement a été différé de quelques jours suite à des conditions météo défavorables.

Après le remontage des gouvernails et moteurs, l’appareil a réalisé un vol d’essai de 50 minutes.

Une nouvelle aventure de 2 ans commence pour le Zeppelin, la recherche de diamant au Bostwana pour le compte de la société De-Beers.

Le ZEPPELIN NT-07 N°1 D-LZFN "Friedrichshafen" a quitté sa base allemande le 1 Août, après une escale pour ravitaillé en carburant à Bonn, l'appareil s'est posé à Amsterdam.

Le dirigeable a été chargé sur le cargo "Entreprise" de la société Néherlandaise Dockwise.

Le NT-07-1 attendra l'Afrique du Sud fin Août, il sera exploité pour la recherche des gisements de diamants par la société De-Beers en Namibie et au Botswana.

Sa mission est de 2 ans.

Students Steer a Blimp to Test Near Space Military Technology

Solar-Powered Blimp Could Fly For A Year

U.S. researchers are developing a high-altitude, helium-filled aircraft that could hover over the same spot for up to a year.

Researchers at Purdue University said the blimp, which uses solar cells for power, could have applications in surveillance, homeland security, missile defense and weather forecasting.

Children’s Dreams Soar High On Airship

In a hanger near the Long Beach Airport, a plain white blimp is serving as the canvas for artwork painted by thousands of children.

Crews are adhering the last of the panels on the ship this week in preparation for its first official flight next Wednesday. When it takes off, the Ameriquest Soaring Dreams Airship will become the largest project to date of Los Angeles nonprofit Portraits of Hope, which partnered with Ameriquest Mortgage Company on it.

18 Mars 2005, Gonflement du ballon de Disneyland Matinée jusqu'à 16 h 30, préparation au sol du ballon, préparation du sol bâche câble arrivé d'hélium étalement de l'enveloppe puis accrochage du filet au sommet du ballon puis étalement du filet. De l'autre côté sur la berge préparation du camion d'hélium, citerne plus réchauffeur 3000 m cubes heures (ce qui fait deux semi-remorques). Temps théorique deux heures.
Pour le ballon une équipe de 10 personnes, pour l'hélium trois personnes.
16 h beau temps soleil pas de vent une équipe d'une vingtaine de personnes se prépare pour les sacs de sable.
17 h briefing gonflage l'équipe compte une quarantaine de personnes, la manipe est simple les ordres se font au sifflet, le gaz fait du bruit. Au cou p de sifflet, on décroche le sac, on le descend d'une maille sur la droite. Ainsi le chef gonfleur annonce la couleur puit siffle.
17 h 10 air liquide ouvre la vanne.

19 h 15 tous les sacs de sables sont décrochés du filet le ballon est simplement retenu au câble principal et aux treuils de sécurité latéraux.
20 h on applaudi on mange c'est fini pour nous.

Sierra and Techsphere Recieve Order for High Altitude AirshipThursday January 13, 6:30 am 
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2005--Proxity, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PDNW - News) and its operating subsidiary Cyber Defense Systems, Inc. (BB:CYDF) announce Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and Techsphere Systems International, LLC (TSI) have received a purchase order for the initial development of a high altitude airship. The project will be managed by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). NAVAIR recently contracted with CYDF and has been flight-testing the SA-60 spherical airship to evaluate its potential to satisfy future military and defense requirements. The SA-60 is a prototype developed by TSI. CYDF has an exclusive marketing agreement with TSI for all of their products. The Prime contractor, SNC, through an exclusive partnership agreement, will provide technology, payload, and sensor integration for the ongoing project.

World's largest blimp takes to the sky in Japan     Fri Jan 14,10:38 AM 

KOBE, Japan (AFP) - A modern-day Zeppelin billed as the world's largest blimp entered the skies over Japan on a test run of an airship hoped to draw both tourists and advertisers.

The 75-meter (246-foot) long Zeppelin NT, designed in Germany by the descendant of Ferdinand von Zeppelin, took to the air for about 40 minutes from the western Japanese city of Kobe.

The white blimp flew over the site of the World Expo which opens in the Aichi region in March and carried a promotion for the event which is due to showcase more recent technological marvels.

The airship was bought by Nippon Airship Corp., a Tokyo-based subsidiary of Japan's biggest shipping firm Nippon Yusen, which said it will initially use the Zeppelin to show corporate advertisements.
